UCW Logistics is a family-owned company that operates through a parent company, Union Service Industries, Inc. Founded in 1925 as Chattanooga Cotton Compress Company, its purpose was to acquire cotton compressing and warehousing facilities. The present name, Union Service Industries, Inc., was adopted in 1969.

UCW Logistics was created under Union Service Industries, Inc., in 2013 to serve the company’s existing cotton warehousing customers and to capture the significant amount of freight spend that passes through our dock doors every year. The goal was to assist customers in handling movement of freight in a scalable, cost-effective manner.

Planting Roots in

Upstate South Carolina

UCW Logistics’ first office was opened in Greenville, South Carolina, not far from the inland port in Greer, South Carolina. UCW Logistics’ Upstate, South Carolina location is just a short drive away from the Port of Charleston, Port of Savannah, and Georgia Ports inland port facility in Cordele, Georgia. The office is also well-positioned between Atlanta and Charlotte on the freight-heavy I-85 corridor.

UCW Logistics has continued to serve existing Union Service Industries customers as well as new ones with the same high level of professionalism, courtesy, and service that have been the hallmark of the company since its inception.

Throughout the years, UCW Logistics has grown to include new modes of transportation and incorporate new technology methods to remain competitive within the ever-changing logistics industry. We are proud to have been recognized as an Inc. 5000 company for every year that we have been eligible..

Today, the company has five regional offices in Greenville, SC, Winston-Salem, NC, Charleston, SC, Savannah, GA, and Denver, CO.
